BIRDING

Over 1200 of the world's 8650 bird species are found in India, making India's birding checklist twice the size of Europe and North America. Out of these 1200 bird pecies, 836 of them are found in Northeast India, dubbing this region the best area for birdwatchers in the subcontinent. From the moist evergreen and deciduous forests of Dibru-Saikhowa National Park to the marshy grasslands of Kaziranga National Park, Northeast India is home to rare bird species like the Bengal Florican, Ibisbill, and Fire-tailed Myzornis.
